Welcome misinformation.sucks’ Newest Contributor, Sable Rook to the Fight

By Michael Kelman Portney

There are a lot of people writing about media.
There are a lot of people critiquing power.
There are very, very few doing both from the inside—without selling their soul or sucking up to whatever think tank’s paying this month’s rent.

Which is why I’m thrilled—seriously, thrilled—to welcome Sable Rook to the team at MisinformationSucks.

Let me explain what that actually means.

Sable Doesn’t Need a Job. She Needs a War.

Sable Rook isn’t a content creator. She’s not an influencer. She’s not here to “build her brand.” She’s a scalpel. And she’s seen things most of us only theorize about.

She’s worked behind the scenes at the kind of institutions that like to pretend they don’t have scenes. She’s read the memos that never get published, sat in meetings where language was weaponized, and walked away from it all when the truth got too inconvenient to keep ignoring.

Put another way: she left the Matrix and came back for the others.

I’ve been watching her writing for a while now—under aliases, burner handles, encrypted newsletters. She’s always been a ghost in the system. Now she’s stepping into the light. And she picked us to do it with.

That says something about where we’re going.

What Sable Brings

Sable’s not here to agree with me.
She’s here to sharpen the blade.

She brings journalistic rigor without the institutional leash. She writes like someone who’s tired of watching half-truths win the news cycle. She sees through the shiny distractions, the meme-friendly narratives, the liberal PR blitzes disguised as justice—and she hits harder because of it.

You’re going to see her name on some of our biggest projects.
Exposés. Essays. Collaborations. Probably a few things that get us blacklisted somewhere new.

And when that happens?

Good.

Blacklists are just playlists for the people who think for themselves.

Why It Matters

MisinformationSucks isn’t just a blog anymore.
It’s a publishing arm for dissidents.
It’s a narrative warfare unit.
It’s a survival manual for people trying to stay human in an age of algorithmic gaslighting.

Bringing Sable in isn’t about growing the team.
It’s about leveling up the fight.

So buckle up.
This isn’t going to get safer.
It’s going to get smarter, sharper, and harder to ignore.

Welcome, Sable.
You’re exactly the kind of problem the system can’t solve.
